We couldn’t agree more Frank !! The lovely Caron from the Scene Newspaper captures an incredibly generous contribution from the Barry McKey Memorial Legacy Fund, on behalf of Matamata Rotary.
More than just blocks and beams, the project has been built on a foundation of community support.
“This simply wouldn’t be happening without the people of Matamata,” Frank says. “From the huge
number of fundraisers held to business sponsorship and volunteer hours, it’s been a massive community
effort. Wherever possible, we’ve engaged local tradespeople within construction, which is something
we’re really proud of.”
